How it All Works

The Liquid Force Australian Rail Series are obstacle only events. Riders are scored for all the tricks they perform on the rails and kickers. Tricks performed off the flat water are not scored, with the exception of the Pro Men and the Wakeskate Divisions in one per-selected area of the course.

Points are awarded for the placements received by every rider in each event and a series tally for each rider is recorded. The rider with the highesttotal at the end of the season is crowned the AUSTRALIAN RAIL CHAMPION.

Riders all compete together in a series of fast paced action packed heats and finals. Carriers are fully loaded with up to 10 riders on the water at any one time. All riders receive a free BBQ dinner as part of their entry fee as well as competitors bags for all. In 2011 place getters in all divisions will receive medals, certificates and prize money.

The New Events

Liquid Force Rail Jams

Following the regular Rail Jam format the Liquid Force Rail Jam Series has boasted record numbers all season long as its fun action packed format continues to attract riders. There is a division for everyone at the Rail Jams. Entry is $35, dinner included with the emphasis on a fun day out in a series of heats and finals!!! All ages and abilities are welcomed and all riders whether boat, cable, rail or winch.

Flatwater Freaks Invitational

Will be the final event of the day where cable riders throw down their best flatwater air tricks both before and after the motor tower … it is run whilst preparations are underway for the Liquid Force Rail Jam presentations. Invitations for this event are done from the best flatwater trick exponents entered in the Rail Jam contest for that weekend.

Linear Cable Events

Will take place on the Go Ride or the Siesetec 2 systems at Bli Bli and Penrith. Formats, obstacles, flatwater, rules etc have yet to be formulated. Depending upon demand divisions will include all those normally run at Rail Jam events

KING of Kicker

This is a new event being run separate to the Rail Jam. Entry fee is $25 and that gets you free dinner as well. Riders will be loaded on every 3rd carrier and will have 3 attempts at the one kicker to land their best trick possible. Winners will be the ones that land the best single trick as judged by a panel of experts based upon difficulty, execution and intensity. Divisions: Men, Women, Wakeskate, Under 17’s and Under 13’s. This is a crowd favourite as the action is focused directly in front of everyone as riders attempt to throw down their biggest hammers….

OBSCURA Sessions Tinny Skate Challenge

Liquid Force Australia recently launched OBSCURA SESSIONS. In conjunction with www.wakeskate.com.au to offer skaters the chance to run, design, judge and steer the course of their sport and is a chance for skaters of all styles to showcase their skills out on the water in front of their peers. Tinny Challenge will be flatwater, no obstacles events Entry is just $20 and includes cash & prizes for the winners.
